By Untitled A.I. Thriller
Two former “The Dark Knight Rises” stars are reuniting as Anne Hathaway will star and Joseph Gordon-Levitt is set to direct an untitled A.I. thriller for T-Street Productions.
Gordon-Levitt wrote the script with Kieran Fitzgerald (“Snowden”) from a story the pair cooked up with “Poker Face” star Natasha Lyonne. Plot details are under wraps while Rian Johnson & Ram Bergman will produce. [Source: Deadline]
The Saviors
Adam Scott (“Severance”) and Danielle Deadwyler (“Carry-On”) will star in the darkly comedic thriller “The Saviors” about a suburban couple whose life spirals out of control when they rent their garage to mysterious tenants
The project is currently in production in Los Angeles with Kevin Hamedani directing from a Blacklist script he co-wrote with Travis Betz. Matt Smith and Dan Gedman will produce. [Source: Variety]
Famous
Bill Pullman and Daniel Zovatto (“The Dating Game”) are set to join Zac Efron in A24’s upcoming provocative thriller “Famous” at Black Bear. Jody Hill (“Observe & Report”) directs the film which is currently shooting in Los Angeles. Chad Hodge penned the script.
Efron will take on the dual roles of overzealous fan Lance Dunkquist and Hollywood heartthrob James Jansen. Phoebe Dynevor, Nicholas Braun, Stephanie Koenig, Debby Ryan, Mekki Leeper, and Cory Michael Smith co-star. [Source: Deadline]
Matchbox
Teyonah Parris (“The Marvels”) will join John Cena, Jessica Biel and Sam Richardson in the live-action take on the classic Mattel car toy line “Matchbox” at Apple Original Films. Sam Hargrave (“Extraction”) directs the film which begins shooting in January.
The action-packed, globetrotting adventure centers on a group of childhood friends who must work together to stop an impending worldwide disaster and rediscover their friendship along the way. David Coggeshall and Jonathan Tropper penned the script. [Source: THR]
Scream 7
Asa Germann (“Gen V”) has officially joined the cast of “Scream 7” with specifics of his character, and the overall film’s plot, under wraps. Neve Campbell reprises her role as Sidney Prescott in the film which also stars Isabel May as Sidney’s daughter and Celeste O’Connor in an unknown role. Kevin Williamson helms the film which opens February 27th 2026. [Source: Deadline]
