Wayne Northrup
Wayne Northrop, best known for his role as roles as Detective Roman Brady and Dr. Alex North on “Days of Our Lives” and as chauffeur Michael Culhane in “Dynasty,” has died. He was 77. Northrop died in Woodland Hills on Friday following an Alzheimer’s diagnosis six years ago – surrounded by family at the time. [Source: THR]
Red Butterfly
Studiocanal is moving forward with the true story crime drama series “Red Butterfly”. Beach House Pictures and Momo Film Co. are backing the project which hails from “The Great” scribe Constance Cheng and Kris Ong. Both will write and Cheng serves as showrunner.
The show deals with an all-female gang run by two sisters in 1950s Singapore – a time when the city was awash in a male-dominated criminal world and dubbed the “Wild West of Asia”. The series will be filmed in English and Chinese languages on location in Singapore and Malaysia. [Source: Deadline]
Creature Commandos
Max has released a first look clip from James Gunn’s upcoming animated series “Creature Commandos” which debuts this week from December 5th. The clip shows the team heading out on a mission, banter and even a reference to “The Suicide Squad” film ensue.
