Ahead of its 30th anniversary, David Fincher’s gritty and much-imitated serial killer psychological thriller “Se7en” is coming to screens huge and small.

The 1995 Oscar-nominated film is set to get a digital 4K Ultra HD and 4K UHD Blu-ray disc release on January 7th 2025.

In addition, an IMAX worldwide theatrical release will take place in North America beginning four days earlier on January 3rd. It marks the first time the film has ever been screened in IMAX cinemas.

Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman starred in the film as two cops who are tasked with tracking an elusive killer who is orchestrating a string of horrific murders targeting a practitioner of each one of the Seven Deadly Sins. Gwyneth Paltrow, Kevin Spacey, John C. McGinley, and R. Lee Ermey also starred.

The 4K restoration was completed at Warner Bros. Discovery’s Motion Picture Imaging (MPI) from the original camera negative. Fincher oversaw the restoration which debuted at the 2024 TCM Film Festival.

The disc releases will include commentaries from Fincher, Pitt, and Freeman, plus deleted scenes, animated storyboards of an un-shot ending, and the original test ending.
