By HBO has premiered a new “in the weeks ahead” trailer for its “Dune: Prophecy” series which launched on the network last night.
The prequel series is set ten thousand years before the birth of Paul Atreides and centers around the formation of the Bene Gesserit – the witches who heavily influence politics.
The premiere revealed that the series structure follows a dual timeline pattern – focusing on the character of Valya as both young (Jessica Barden) and old (Emily Watson).
That will continue as well as better spelling out the threat of Desmond Hart (Travis Fimmel) as he could ruin the Sisterhood’s position in the Imperial Empire.
In addition, new generations of Atreides and Harkonnen families are introduced in HBO’s prequel series “Dune: Prophecy” and the feud between the two is explored some more.
Olivia Williams, Mark Strong, Charlie Hodson-Prior and Sarah-Sofie Boussnina co-star in the series which will run through to mid-December.
