Taron Egerton will join Charlize Theron in Baltasar Kormákur’s latest thriller “Apex” for Netflix.
Theron plays a rock climber and adrenaline junkie who finds out that nature isn’t the only dangerous element out to get her when she sets out on an expedition in the wild.
Egerton will play a psychopath stalking his human prey (Theron). Jeremy Robbins wrote the script.
Theron, Dawn Olmstead, Beth Kono, AJ Dix, Ian Bryce, Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and David Ready produce.
“Rocketman,” “Black Bird” and “Kingsman” star Egerton has another Netflix thriller, “Carry-On,” hitting the service on December 13th.
He’s already filmed indie thriller “She Rides Shotgun” and recently wrapped production on Apple TV+ arsonist series “Firebug”.
Kormákur is best known for his work on films like “2 Guns,” “Everest,” “Contraband” and “The Deep”. His last studio action film was 2022’s Idris Elba vs. lions film “Beast”.
