After having starred in the role for four seasons of the series, John Krasinski will return as CIA analyst Jack Ryan for a feature film continuation at Amazon MGM Studios.
In addition, Wendell Pierce (“The Wire”) is also set to return, while Michael Kelly (“House of Cards”) is in negotiations to come back for the project which is being produced in association with Paramount Pictures and Skydance.
Andrew Bernstein, who served as an executive producer and director on season two, will direct the feature which has a script penned by fourth season writer and “Nobody 2” scribe Aaron Rabin.
Set in the Tom Clancy Ryan-verse, the series ran from 2018-2023 across 30 episodes but didn’t directly adapt any of the books – rather it took inspiration from them to tell more modern day stories.
The series remains ranked among Prime’s top three most watched series globally. Krasinski, Allyson Seeger and Andrew Form will produce the film.
Producing the feature are Krasinski and Allyson Seeger via their Sunday Night banner. Andrew Form is also producing.
