Brad Pitt was reportedly seen shooting extensive scenes this past weekend at the Mexico Grand Prix for Joseph Kosinski’s “F1” film. Filming is expected to continue in December at a race in Abu Dhabi. The film itself opens June 27th 2025.
Damson Idris, Kerry Condon and Tobias Menzies co-star in the film about a formula one driver (Pitt) coming out of retirement who both ends up mentoring a younger protégé (Idris). Due to delays and reshoots, the film is said to have a considerable budget. [Source: World of Reel]
The Gallerist
Natalie Portman and Jenna Ortega are in talks to star in “Birds of Prey” director Cathy Yan’s “The Gallerist” which she co-wrote with James Pedersen. Portman and Sophie Mas will produce.
The story follows a desperate gallerist who conspires to sell a dead guy at Art Basel Miami. Jonathan King, Ash Sarohia, Tom McCarthy, Rae Baron, Sophie Mas and Zola Elgart Glassman are producing. [Source: Deadline]
Victorian Psycho
Margaret Qualley (“The Substance”) has been tapped to star in the new horror film “Victorian Psycho” which will start production in March next year. Zachary Wigon will be directing from a script by Virginia Feito.
The story will be set in 1858 and will follow Qualley’s Winifred Notty, a young, eccentric governess who has been assigned to teach children in an isolated gothic manor known as Ensor House – all whilst hiding her psychopathic tendencies. [Source: Deadline]
Deadpool & Wolverine
Disney has announced a November 12th date for the launch of Marvel Studios’ “Deadpool & Wolverine” on the Disney+ streaming service.
The news comes after a record-smashing run in theaters worldwide over the summer, and a more recent direct-to-digital release of the major tentpole feature starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
