Chris Hemsworth is reportedly in talks to play the iconic fairy tale love interest for the upcoming “Prince Charming” film at Disney Pictures.
Story details for the film are under wraps and reportedly it’s unclear if this will be a live-action or animated title at present.
Unlike the heroines of their films though which are all distinct, ‘Prince Charming’ effectively refers to the stock male lead character in several of their princess movies including “Snow White and the Seven Dwarves,” “Sleeping Beauty” and most visibly “Cinderella”.
“Paddington 2” and “Wonka” filmmaker Paul King will direct from a script by King, Simon Farnaby and Jon Croker.
Hemsworth most recently had a starring role in George Miller’s “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” and voiced Optimus Prime in “Transformers One”.
He’s next set to star in the thriller “Crime 101” based on the Don Winslow-penned short story. Halle Berry, Barry Keoghan and Mark Ruffalo co-star.
