Actor Tom Holland has confirmed that he’s onboard for Sony and Marvel’s “Spider-Man 4” and the project has got a shooting window set.
Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show, the British actor says, with some visible relief, “it’s happening” before going on to explain that filming on the project begins next Summer.
He says: “Everything’s good to go, we’re nearly there. Super exciting… Yeah, I can’t wait.”
This matches with reports throughout this week indicating that Holland has a very busy time ahead with both “Avengers: Doomsday” and Christopher Nolan’s next film shooting in the early half of 2025, and then a fourth “Spider-Man” taking up the back half of the year.
No further details were offered on who his co-stars will be or any storyline whatsoever, though there has been no shortage of speculation.
“Spider-Man: No Way Home” began filming in October 2020 ahead of a December 2021 release so if this starts shooting late Summer, a Fall-Holiday 2026 release seems to be on the cards.
