Even though the show’s second season isn’t slated to premiere for several months as yet, Netflix has decided to renew its action thriller series “The Night Agent” for a third season.
Production on season three is set to begin later this year in Istanbul and continue in New York after the new year. That’s incredibly fast considering the second season was shot from February-June this year.
Gabriel Basso returns as FBI Agent Peter Sutherland in the second season which is set mostly around New York City, Washington DC and Thailand.
Created by Shawn Ryan and produced by Sony Pictures Television, the first season remains the streamer’s seventh most watched of all time among English-language series in the streamer’s internal rankings.
In June came the news that Ryan has signed a major four-year overall deal with the streamer that could see Netflix pursue potential spin-offs and build out a universe based on the show.
Netflix hasn’t set a specific date for the second season premiere as yet though it’s expected to be early in 2025.
