Disney and 20th Century Studios have announced the digital and physical home release dates for “Alien: Romulus”. The title will first be released on video-on-demand platforms like Apple TV, Prime Video, and Fandango at Home on October 15th, followed by a disc release on December 3rd. The Life of Chuck
NEON has announced that the Stephen King adaptation “The Life of Chuck” will be released Summer 2025 after the distributor acquired the film following its Fall film festival premiere.
In the film, Chuck (Tom Hiddleston) travels backwards in time viewing his life after dying. In viewing past events, he becomes obsessed with a former student that might have a special gift. [Source: Deadline]
Rosebush Pruning
Callum Turner, Riley Keough, Jamie Bell, Lukas Gage, Tracy Letts, Elena Anaya and Pamela Anderson are set to start with Elle Fanning in “Rosebush Pruning” at Mubi, The Match Factory and The Apartment.
Karim Aïnouz (“Firebrand”) directs the film from a script by Efthimis Filippou based on the 1965 dark social satire film “Fists in the Pocket”. The story challenges the notions of the traditional family and the patriarchy. [Source: Variety]
The Dink
Ben Stiller is returning to acting and has reportedly signed on to produce and star in film “The Dink” which also stars Jake Johnson, Mary Steenburgen, and Ed Harris. Josh Greenbaum directs.
Johnson is set to play a former tennis pro who must do what he never thought he’d have to do: play pickleball to save a club and earn his dad’s respect. Filming begins in November. [Source: THR]
