By Amazon MGM Studios has premiered a second and lengthy three-minute trailer for its Christmas comedy “Red One” starring Dwayne Johnson, Chris Evans, J.K. Simmons and more.
After a shocking abduction of Santa Claus (Simmons) from the North Pole, Commander Callum Drift (Johnson) of the E.L.F. Task Force must partner with the world’s most infamous bounty hunter (Evans) to save Christmas.
Bonnie Hunt, Kiernan Shipka, Lucy Liu, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Nick Kroll, Kristofer Hivju, Wesley Kimmel, and Jenna Kanell co-star in the globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy which is set in a new universe and hopes to potentially launch a franchise.
Hiram Garcia created the original story while Jake Kasdan (“Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle”) is directing from a screenplay by Chris Morgan (“Hobbs and Shaw”).
Johnson, Morgan, Garcia, Kasdan, Dany Garcia, Melvin Mar and Sky Salem Robinson produce. The film will hit cinemas on November 15th ahead of an eventual Amazon Prime Video launch sometime in 2025.
