By Netflix has released teaser trailer for the second season of its acclaimed political drama “The Diplomat” which returns October 31st.
The clip gives us a first look at Oscar winner Allison Janney joining the cast as U.S. Vice President Grace Penn.
She’ll star alongside returning leading lady Golden Globe winner Keri Russell as U.S. ambassador to the U.K. Kate Wyler.
Also back are Rufus Sewell, David Gyasi, Ali Ahn, Rory Kinnear, Ato Essandoh, Celia Imrie, Michael McKean, Nana Mensah, T’Nia Miller, and Miguel Sandoval.
The clip doesn’t show much in regards to where the first season left off with a car bomb and a shocking reveal about corruption within the U.K. Government.
The series is created and executive produced by Debora Cahn, who is also serving as the showrunner. Russell, Janice Williams, and Simon Cellan Jones also executive produce.
