Max has set a December 5th premiere date for DC’s “Creature Commandos,” the animated series written and executive produced by James Gunn.
The show marks the first official project of Gunn and Safran’s forthcoming DC Universe, also known as the DCU.
The series will consist of seven episodes and will drop weekly with the finale airing January 16th.
The series tracks a secret team of incarcerated monsters recruited for missions deemed too dangerous for humans. When all else fails… they’re your last, worst option.
The cast includes Steve Agee as John Economos, Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana, Anya Chalotra as Circe, Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Sean Gunn as GI Robot and Weasel, David Harbour as Frankenstein, Alan Tudyk as Dr. Phosphorus, Indira Varma as The Bride, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.
DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation produce the series while Safran, Gunn, Dean Lorey, and Sam Register serve as executive producers.
On December 5th, everything will be declassified. The new Max Original Series from DC Studios #CreatureCommandos premieres exclusively on @StreamOnMax. I’ll have more intel soon. pic.twitter.com/5tqTLJo26e
