Filming has wrapped on the second season of HBO’s “The Last of Us” based on the highly acclaimed Naughty Dog game series.

Photos from the show’s second season wrap party have emerged online with a rather large event being held to celebrate the end of filming.

Editor Timothy Good wrote in his post: “Congratulations to the incredible production crew of The Last of Us Season 2. We will bring your hard work home now!”

The new seven-episode season has been in production since the end of January in Canada and was expected to wrap this month ahead of an airing next year.

It’s expected “The Last of Us Part II” game narrative will be split across a second and third season in order to do justice to the story that was double the length of the first game.

Bella Ramsey, Pedro Pascal, Gabriel Luna, Rutina Wesley, Kaitlyn Dever, Young Manzino, Isabela Merced, Ariela Barer, Tati Gabrielle, Danny Ramirez and Catherine O’Hara co-star in the series which will now undergo many months of post-production work.
