The “Game of Thrones” spin-off “House of the Dragon” just aired its season finale tonight on HBO, and with it came a nearly two-minute trailer teasing the upcoming program slate for the premium cabler in late 2024 and 2025.
The first 50 seconds teases what’s to come for the rest of the year with short clips from “The Penguin,” “Dune: Prophecy,” “Creature Commandos,” “Industy,” “The Franchise” and “Harley Quinn”.
The last 50 seconds however is where the excitement is with first footage from multiple series including new season sof “The White Lotus” and “The Gilded Age” and new dramas like “The Pitt” and “Duster”.
But there’s also three big reveals in the clip with footage from three massive genre shows including the first look at the “IT” prequel series “Welcome to Derry,” and the first footage from the next “Game of Thrones” spin-off “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”.
It ends with the biggest reveal of all – 20 seconds of the very first footage from the second season of “The Last of Us” including first glimpses of Catherine O’Hara, Isabela Merced, Kaitlyn Dever and Jeffrey Wright’s characters. There’s also some key moments from the second game including Abby’s escape from the horde in the snow, a group of Seraphites in pursuit of someone, and what looks like a glimpse of the intense red-light subway sequence with the Clickers.
