The Disney+, Hulu and Max streaming bundle is set to officially launch today with both ad-supported and ad-free options.
Disney is taking the lead on implementing the bundle and says that the ad-supported tier will cost $16.99 per month, while the ad-free version costs $29.99 per month.
For that price you get all three services – a saving of $3 per month for the ad-supported tier and $7 per month for the ad-free tier.
The aim is to not only pass along savings to consumers, but to keep subscribers along with reducing churn and boosting engagement.
First announced back in May, said bundle marks a major team-up between streaming competitors – something normally facilitated by giant telecommunications companies like Verizon or Comcast.
It also comes in the wake of comments from Netflix indicating they have no plans to develop bundles directly with streaming competitors, but are happy to work with third-party distribution partners (like telcos) on bundles.
With the launch, a marketing effort to promote it has begun with the clip below teasing that: “The Ultimate Bundle Is Here” along with showing a blend of juggernaut series from each like “House of the Dragon,” “Only Murders in the Building” and “Percy Jackson & The Olympians”.
