“Babylon” actress Li Jun Li has joined the cast of Marvel’s live-action “Spider-Noir” series at Amazon MGM Studios.
Li has scored an unnamed series regular role in the show, her character described as a singer at a premier nightclub in New York.
She joins lead star Nicolas Cage who has signed on to reprise his Spider-Man Noir role in live-action after voicing the character in 2018’s animated “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”.
Cage plays an aging and down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero
Also onboard is Lamorne Morris as Robbie Robbertson, a long-time supporting character in Spider-Man stories.
Li is currently in production on Ryan Coogler’s upcoming Michael B. Jordan-led vampire movie, and has starred in such series as “Evil,” “Wu Assassins,” “Sex/Life” and “Based on a True Story”.
Oren Uziel, Steve Lightfoot, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal executive produce. Emmy winner Harry Bradbeer directs the first two episodes.
