By The first trailer has been released by NEON for filmmaker Sean Baker’s “Anora” ahead of its October 18th release.
It marks the latest project from the “Tangerine,” “The Florida Project” and “Red Rocket” director and won the top award of the Palme d’Or at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
Anora (“Mikey Madison”) is a sex worker from Brooklyn who gets her chance at a Cinderella story when she meets and marries the son of an oligarch.
Once the news reaches Russia, her fairytale is threatened as the parents set out for New York to get the marriage annulled.
Mark Eidelstein, Yuri Borisov, Karren Karagulian, Vache Tovmasyan, Lindsey Normington, Ivy Wolk, and Luna Sofía Miranda also star.
