It’s official, the Brad Pitt-led F1 movie has scored an official title – the imaginatively named “F1”.
Oscar winner Pitt stars as a former driver who returns to Formula 1, alongside Damson Idris (“Snowfall”) as his teammate on APXGP, a fictional team on the grid.
Oscar nominee Kerry Condon, Oscar winner Javier Bardem, Emmy winner Tobias Menzies, Emmy nominee Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia and Samson Kayo co-star.
Filming is taking place at actual Grand Prix weekends, in collaboration with Formula 1 and the F1 community.
Joseph Kosinski (“Top Gun: Maverick”) directs and produces the feature alongside Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman, Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and Sir Lewis Hamilton.
Bruckheimer Films, Plan B Entertainment and Dawn Apollo Films are producing the project for Apple Original Films.
Warner Bros. Pictures will handle the theatrical and IMAX run which hits cinemas in North America on June 27th 2025 and internationally starts its rollout on June 25th 2025.
The first trailer, dubbed a ‘sneak peek,’ airs this Sunday tied with the Formula 1 British Grand Prix.
