Amazon Prime Video has cancelled its mystery western sci-fi drama series “Outer Range” after two seasons.
The news of the axing comes just under two months after the show’s second season scored a binge release.
Josh Brolin starred in the show as a Wyoming rancher who discovers a mysterious black void on his property, while also fighting to keep his land out of the hands of a rival family with whom he has a long-standing feud.
Imogen Poots, Lili Taylor, Tamara Podemski, Lewis Pullman, Tom Pelphrey, Noah Reid, Shaun Sipos, Isabel Arraiza, Olive Abercrombie and Will Patton also star.
The first season premiered in April 2022 and scored a renewal by that October. The project also saw a showrunner change from Charles Murray to Zev Borow.
The first season spent five weeks in Nielsen’s top 10 original streaming series charts, the second did so over three weeks.
