A24 has premiered the first trailer for its new horror feature “Heretic” which sees Hugh Grant tackle his first horror film in decades.
The beloved British sctor plays a man who is visited by two young Mormon missionaries played by Chloe East (“The Fabelmans”) and Sophie Thatcher (“Yellowjackets”) whom he puts through an series of intense psychological games.
The project hails from Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, the duo who penned John Krasinski’s hit film “A Quiet Place” along with 2019’s “Haunt” and more recently the Adam Driver prehistories film “65” and the Stephen King adaptation “The Boogeyman”.
Shot in Vancouver last fall unver a guild-approved interim agreement, the film also stars Elle McKinnon, River Codack, Carolyn Adair, Stephanie Lavigne and Elle Young.
Beck, Woofs, Katie Aquino, Scott Beck, Liliane Bedford, Julia Glausi, Kai Raka, Stacey Sher and Jeanette Volturno all produce.
