Disney has released a new poster for its highly anticipated “Moana” sequel which arrives eight years after the 2016 original. The poster comes ahead of the film’s teaser trailer which will arrive tomorrow.
An older Moana (played by returnee Auli’i Cravalho) can be seen on the beach in the background with Maui’s (Dwayne Johnson) fish hook in the sand at the font.
David G. Derrick Jr. helm the film with further details presently under wraps beyond its Wednesday, November 27th planned release date.
The poster comes as Johnson confirmed on his social media account that production on the live-action “Moana” movie aims to begin this Fall ahead of a July 10th 2026 release.
That’s not the only poster today, Netflix has also unveiled the poster for the fourth and final season of “The Umbrella Academy” which returns August 8th with a shorter six-episode run.
Like with “Moana 2,” the poster comes ahead of a first trailer going online tomorrow. The new season will likely deal with the fallout of the third season run which saw the universe seemingly being reset with the family members having lost their powers.
