Megalopolis
More international distribution deals have been set for Francis Ford Coppola‘s $120 million passion project “Megalopolis,” including Australia where Madman Entertainment will distribute.
Also set are Bulgaria (Profilm), Czech Republic and Slovakia (Film Europe), Ex-Yugoslavia (MCF Megacom Film), Greece (Feelgood Entertainment), Hungary (Mozinet), Israel (Lev Cinemas), Morocco (Facility Event), Portugal (Midas Filmes) Romania (Independenta Film), Scandinavia (Njutafilms) and Turkey (Bir Film).
These join distribution deals already in place for the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Austria and Switzerland. Still no word on a potential U.S. distributor at this time. [Source: Deadline]
Streaming Dates
The Josh Brolin and Peter Dinklage-led “Brothers,” which will get a theatrical release on October 1st, has already been earmarked for an October 17th launch date on Amazon Prime Video.
The Bill Skarsgård-led action comedy “Boy Kills World” will be coming to digital May 28th, arriving one month after its theatrical run on April 26th. The film only earned $1.6 million domestically in cinemas.
Warner Bros. Discovery has announced the “Twister” 4K UHD will be released on July 9th, with a digital release in stores the same day.
Superman/Man
The Sundance premiering Christopher Reeve-themed documentary “Super/Man” will play in select theaters on September 21st followed by an encore presentation on Reeve’s birthday, September 25th. DC Studios is collaborating with Fathom Events on the theatrical release. [Source: Variety]
Marvel
Marvel Studios has released a trailer for “What If…? An Immersive Story,” a VR game based on the animated anthology series and available for a limited time on the Apple Vision Pro starting on May 30th.
ILM Immersive group helped deliver this virtual reality experience in which players must stop variants of the multiverse from harnessing the power of the Infinity Stones.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
Warner Bros. Pictures has released a poster for Tim Burton’s upcoming sequel “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” the one-sheet proceeding the fim’s second trailer launch tomorrow.
Michael Keaton returns to his iconic character whilst Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara are back as Lydia and Delia Deetz, respectively, with “Wednesday” star Jenna Ortega as Lydia’s daughter Astrid. The movie will hit theaters on September 6th.
