Detective Hole
Tobias Santelmann, Joel Kinnaman and Pia Tjelta are set to star in Netflix’s Nordic noir series “Detective Hole” based on the novels by Jo Nesbo. The first season will be based on the fifth novel “The Devil’s Star”.
Santelmann will play the obsessive but introverted homicide detective Harry Hole, with Kinnaman as his long-time nemesis and corrupt Oslo cop Tom Waaler. Tjelta will play Hole’s romantic partner Rakel Fauke. [Source: THR]
Tires
Shane Gillis’ auto repair shop-set comedy series “Tires,” which launches this Thursday on streamer Netflix, has been renewed for a second season to debut in 2025.
Gillis self-financed the six-episode first season with Netflix acquiring the show in a deal that includes him doing another stand up special at the streamer also to air in 2025. [Source: Variety]
Industry
HBO has announced that the third season of “Industry” will premiere on the network on August 11th and will be available to stream on Max.

Yellowstone
Paramount Network has confirmed production has resumed in New York on Monday on the final episodes of the fifth and final season of “Yellowstone”. The final episodes will be without lead star Kevin Costner as John Dutton, with the actor departing the series. The show is targeting a November 10th launch of those final episodes. [Source: Variety]
Primo
Shea Serrano’s coming-of-age comedy “Primo” has been canceled at Freevee after a single-season run. The single-camera comedy follows a wide-eyed 16-year-old being raised by his clever mother and five overbearing uncles on the south side of San Antonio, Texas. [Source: X]
Star Wars: The Acolyte
Lucasfilm has released new featurettes for “Star Wars: The Acolyte,” with these putting the focus on “Squid Game” star Lee Jung-jae in his role as Master Jedi Sol, and on lead star Amandla Stenberg and her contributions to the soundtrack.
Showrunner Leslye Headland, director Kogonada, and major cast talk about their work on the show which premieres on June 4th on Disney+ with the first two episodes.
