As Disney CEO Bob Iger has explained, Marvel Studios is reducing its output as it aims to get back to a quality-first approach.
Even so, the studio currently has four films scheduled for 2025 with “Captain America: Brave New World” “Thunderbolts*,” “The Fantastic Four” and “Blade”.
Now, a new report from scooper Daniel Richtman suggests a fifth MCU film is joining that list – none other than Sony’s “Spider-Man 4”.
The report indicates Sony plans to begin filming the project this Fall and could arrive in cinemas as early as late Fall 2025.
On top of that, Richtman indicates the piece of Venom left on Earth-616 at the end of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” will play a role in the movie.
Richtman also says a potential second season of “Ms. Marvel” is being discussed, but a final decision has not been made, and they’re currently seeking a 20-something actor for the “Nova” series.
The report comes as rumors elsewhere (via CBM) have also indicated Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop is coming back in a big way with the character to appear in a “Young Avengers” project, the fifth “Avengers” and a second season of “Hawkeye”.
There’s also rumors are also suggesting a “Midnight Suns” film will go into production after “Blade”. None of the rumors have been confirmed at this point.
