By Sauron has arrived and bringing with him a much darker tone to the most expensive show ever made.
Amazon Prime Video has released the teaser trailer for the second season of its ultra-lavish “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” TV series.
In addition, they have confirmed the second season will arrive on the service starting on August 29th. J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay showrun the series which premiered its first season in September 2022.
That first season finale revealed Sauron had been hiding in plain sight the whole time. Now he’s making his presence known with a new look, a glimpse of his Dark Tower, a massive explosion and more.
The eight-episode first season was reportedly watched by over 100 million viewers by the end of 2022.
