By Umbrella Entertainment has premiered the first trailer for “Bambi: The Reckoning,” a horror retelling of Felix Salten’s “Bambi, a Life in the Woods” book which served as the basis for the Disney animated classic.
This film follows Xana (Roxanne McKee) and her son Benji (Tom Mulheron) who find themselves in a car wreck and soon hunted down by the vicious killing machine, the deer Bambi, who will destroy anyone in its path!
The British indie slasher serves as the third installment of the Twisted Childhood Universe following the already released two “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey” films.
This will be followed by “Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare” on October 31st, “Pinocchio: Unstrung” on November 12th and “Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble” next year.
“Awakening Sleeping Beauty” and “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3” are also in the works.
Dan Allen directs “Bambi: The Reckoning” from a script by Rhys Warrington. It’s also produced by Rhys Frake-Waterfield and Scott Jeffrey.
“Bambi: The Reckoning” opens in cinemas on July 4th.
