New Primetime Clip
If you were wondering why Flash Thompson was absent from the recent Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it turns out he was off doing some shady, nefarious things. A24 has recently released a clip from Primetime where we get a look at the moment where Chris Hansen catches a predator on-camera and the predator is played by Tony Revolori. The clip features more of a look into Robert Pattinson’s disappearance into Hansen as he impeccably emulates his voice and mannerisms. We also get a peek at how the producers confirm that they have a shot of the predator crying on camera, which will make for dramatic programming.

The details around the film had been kept under wraps for a while and the only thing known during its development was that it was a crime drama inspired by the Dateline NBC show To Catch a Predator.
The official synopsis of Primetime reads, “In 2006, To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen sets out to make television history.” The film stars Robert Pattinson, Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, Phoebe Bridgers, Matthew Maher, Bokeem Woodbine and Sean Bridgers. The movie is written by Ajon Singh and based on an article by Luke Dittrich.
Pattinson also produces the film along with Ari Aster, Lars Knudsen, Brighton McCloskey, Tyler Campellone, Fred Berger and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones. Oppenheim and Singh will also executive produce the film with William Iannaccone and A.J. Bourscheid for Range and Emily Hildner for Square Peg.
Lance Oppenheim, who recently helmed the HBO documentary series, Ren Faire, developed the film with Pattinson to be his debut narrative feature film. Singh is also tapped to write Lord and Miller’s Spider-Punk with Daniel Kaluuya co-writing and starring.
Oppenheim has worked with acclaimed filmmakers like Darren Aronofsky, who produced his documentary Some Kind of Heaven. He has also worked alongside Josh and Benny Safdie, both of whom backed Ren Faire. The director credited growing up in Florida as being an “insane place,” which inspired his documentary filmmaking.
Primetime is set to have its world premiere at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, then it comes to theaters on September 25
