A new post-apocalyptic action thriller is preparing to throw audiences into a world where civilization has collapsed and survival depends on who can adapt fastest.

The film stars Josh McKenzie as Kellan, a man living with his family in a secure homestead after a massive global attack has plunged society into chaos. Electricity is gone, governments have disappeared and basic civility has become a distant memory. But when Kellan is forced to leave the safety of home to rescue his wife, he quickly discovers that the outside world is far more dangerous than he imagined.

His journey brings him face-to-face with murderous thieves, including enemies connected to his own past. With his family’s survival hanging in the balance, Kellan must rely on a carefully designed battle plan and form an unlikely alliance with a hardened warrior.

The ensemble cast includes Delaney Tabron, Michael Hurst, Kali Kopae, Rama Marrow, Nell Fisher and Marshall Napier. Fisher, known for Stranger Things and Evil Dead Rise, adds another recognizable face to the survival thriller.

While the story follows familiar post-collapse territory, the combination of brutal action, family stakes and a hero forced to confront his history could give the film a strong survivalist edge.

For fans of gritty end-of-the-world action, this looks like another dangerous journey where staying alive will require more than simply finding a place to hide.

Battle Cabin will be available on demand and digital September 29.
