Apple has confirmed that the fifth season of its Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston-led drama series “The Morning Show” will be its last.
That final run will air next year, a decade after the series was given a two-season, straight-to-series order back in 2017 and two years before the Apple TV service launched.
It served as one of the streamer’s first original series and has consistently scored various TV award nominations across its run including 28 Emmy nominations.
Seasons have also fairly consistently aired in the Fall two years apart with the fourth season launching September 2025.
The fifth season is currently in production with returnees Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Nicole Beharie and Jon Hamm joined by Jeff Daniels, Jesse Williams, Sean Hayes, Lizzy Caplan and Reneé Rapp in the new run.
Daniels plays self-made investment firm billionaire Lukas, Williams plays UBN’s new Head of News Vernon, Rapp is a young rising star in the news division.
