Warner Bros. Pictures has announced a several month delay for Matt Reeves’ currently in production “The Batman: Part II” along with releasing the first official footage from the film’s set.

The brief 30-second teaser starts in black before Robert Pattinson’s Batman comes slowly into focus standing under falling snow.

Then comes a quick cut to the title, followed by the new release date – February 18th 2028. That’s a delay of four months from the previously planned release on October 1st 2027.

Filming is underway at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, with filming also taking place in London and Liverpool.

Previously, it was suggested that Sebastian Stan would be playing Harvey Dent alongside Scarlett Johansson as Gilda Dent and Charles Dance as Harvey’s father.

Then reports shot that speculation down with Stan believed to be playing Victor Zsasz, while a recent rumor this past weekend suggested Johansson may be Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy and Dance as the leader of the Court of Owls.

For now, no-one seems quite sure what the film’s about beyond a wintry setting. Colin Farrell, Brian Tyree Henry, Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, Sebastian Koch, Jayme Lawson, and Gil Perez-Abraham co-star in the film.
