With “Supergirl” having premiered, new tidbits on James Gunn’s currently filming “Man of Tomorrow” have emerged.

First up, Brandon Davis spoke with executive producer Lars Winter at the “Supergirl” premiere and he confirmed that filming on the project is already halfway through. He adds:

“We’re creating this Superman family. You’re seeing them [Superman and Supergirl] now gather as a team… and we brought in some of our Hall of Justice friends again. We’re building up. Now you’re seeing all our team together deal… with a whole new level of villain… “

The comment comes as THR reports that DC Studios co-chairmen and co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran have already met with Paramount Skydance chairman and CEO David Ellison who visited the set in Atlanta.

Winter tells that outlet that, at least so far, things with the incoming new boss seem to be good:

“He came to Trilith [Studios] already. That’s where we shoot all our movies that James directs. He came to Atlanta, we showed him everything, and we’re having discussions with him.

He’s pretty open to what we’re doing. We do have a slate and a lot of it — obviously, Clayface is already coming out. We already have the Lanterns TV show. On those things, the train’s left the station. So we’re good. But he’s a big fan, he’s been great with us. He’s giving us kind of what we want. So far, everything’s good.”

Winter also confirmed that Milly Alcock’s Supergirl will play a “big part” in the next movie after “Man of Tomorrow” but didn’t elaborate.
