“Supergirl” star Milly Alcock is confirmed to be reprising the role for the upcoming “Man of Tomorrow” film currently in production.

The former “House of the Dragon” actress took on the role first in James Gunn’s “Superman” film last year and gets her own solo film next month. She’ll return for the “Superman” follow-up due out next Summer.

The news was revealed in a profile piece on the actress that has just been published over at Variety.

In the piece, the 26-year-old confirmed that while preparing for the film she didn’t familiarise herself with superhero movies saying she hasn’t seen Black Widow, Captain Marvel, or Wonder Woman and adds “which is probably not great… I should just lie.”

She also reveals her superhero suit isn’t as big a part of the film as people may expect: “I don’t wear it as much as people will think. It’s a journey.”

DC Studios co-CEO Peter Safran adds that Alcock’s Supergirl is “a major part of what we’re doing” with the DC Universe.

“Supergirl” opens in cinemas on June 26th.
