David Fincher’s “The Adventures of Cliff Booth” at Netflix has locked in a cinema release date.
The follow-up to Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 film “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” is essentially taking the old date and plan vacated by Greta Gerwig’s “Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew” which was recently moved into early next year.
As a result, ‘Cliff’ will open in cinemas on November 25th (the day before Thanksgiving) with a special two-week IMAX theatrical run. Then it will hit the streamer on December 23rd.
The story will center on Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt), the former stuntman and body double to TV actor Rick Dalton in a period set a good few years after that film, when Cliff is now a Hollywood fixer.
Scott Caan, Elizabeth Debicki, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Carla Gugino, Holt McCallany, Corey Fogelmanis, JB Tadena, Peter Weller and Timothy Olyphant co-star.
Tarantino originally wrote the script for himself to direct, but eventually put it aside before Pitt convinced the filmmaker to let Fincher direct.
