Next week, Amazon Prime Video will launch its “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War” movie, a feature film continuation of the four-season-long series on the streamer.

Out promoting the film this week, the actor tells Screen Rant that he’s very open to doing more Jack Ryan films in the future should this one prove a success for Amazon:

“I would love to [continue Jack Ryan as a film series]. I think that we all found that being in a different format just means you can tell different kinds of stories. I think we have more stories to tell.”

Andrew Bernstein directed the new film and agrees, saying that the new film was justified by the story they had and any further ones would have to be as well:

“I think we all have ideas, but the most important one is I hope John has ideas cooking up in his head, like you told me he does. I think it’s super important that we have a story to tell.

That’s the most important. It’s why we came back to make this movie. We had a story to tell that made sense for the character, and for the world, and the world keeps changing. So there’s going to be great stories, and great character stories. So I think we’re all excited to jump back in and do it again.

We all loved making this movie. I think you can tell by the character interaction, they get along well in real life on the screen. There’s a lot more of Jack Ryan’s story to tell… And if people dig this movie, which we hope they will, we’re hopeful to make more of them. But we have to get this one out and then we’ll see what happens. But I know everyone’s super excited to do it again.”

Krasinski and Aaron Rabin co-wrote the new film which stars Krasinski, Wendell Pierce, Michael Kelly, Betty Gabriel, Sienna Miller, Max Beesley, Douglas Hodge, and JJ Feild.

“Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War” premieres on Prime Video on May 20th.
