The Rookie: North
ABC is spinning off “The Rookie” again, this time as a ten-episode series titled “The Rookie: North” with 44-year-old Jay Ellis to lead the cast as Alex Holland, a man who joins the Pierce County Police Department in the Pacific Northwest.

Nathan Fillion will appear as his “The Rookie” character John Nolan in the pilot. Chris Sullivan, Karen Fukuhara, Froy Gutierrez, Janet Montgomery, Mya Lowe and Malik Watson co-star in the series with the plan being for two or three episode crossovers for the season. [Source: ABC]

DC
DC will reportedly host a showcase at its animated TV slate at Annecy Festival in June with first looks at the second seasons of “Batman: Caped Crusader” and “Creature Commandos” along with new shows like “Mister Miracle,” “My Adventures with Green Lantern,” “Starfire!” and “DC Super Powers”. Jury Duty
Amazon Prime Video is renewing its candid-camera series “Jury Duty” for a third season, though there are no details are available on where the next reality-comedy concept will take place. Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky created the series which finished airing its second season back on April 3rd. [Source: THR]

Fallout
Emmy-winning “Breaking Bad” and “Westworld” star Aaron Paul has joined the cast of the third season of “Fallout” on Amazon Prime Video. In addition, Annabel O’Hagan and Dave Register have been upped to series regulars. Both seasons of “Fallout” rank among the top four most-watched seasons of all time on Prime Video. The White Lotus
Ben Kingsley, Max Minghella and Pekka Strang are the final additions to the France-set fourth season of Mike White’s beloved HBO dramedy “The White Lotus” about a luxury resort chain and the insufferable and suffering people that visit and work there.

The season will deal with two rival film teams competing at the prestigious fest; one camps out at a flashy, palatial hotel on the Croisette and the other at a luxurious hilltop hideaway. The trio will serve in recurring capacities. [Source: Variety]

The Day of the Jackal
Matt Bomer (“Fellow Travelers”) has joined the second season of Peacock and Sky’s spy thriller drama series “The Day of the Jackal” in a recurring role as a villain. Filming on the second season is now underway in Budapest.

Bomer joins fellow new cast additions Weruche Opia and Pablo Schreiber who have been cast as series regulars alongside leading man Eddie Redmayne. The story follows an unrivalled and highly elusive lone assassin who makes his living carrying out hits for the highest fee. [Source: Deadline]
