The Punisher returns in brutal form with The Punisher: One Last Kill, premiering May 12 on Disney+ – and the trailer makes one thing clear: Frank Castle is far from done.

First introduced in 1974 by Marvel Comics, Frank Castle remains one of the darkest antiheroes in the superhero landscape. A former U.S. Marine turned one-man war machine, his mission has always been driven by the loss of his family – and in this new chapter, that pain cuts deeper than ever.

The newly released footage teases a haunting psychological edge, with Castle tormented by visions of his past. Flashbacks of his wife and daughter blur with present-day violence, showing a man still trapped in grief. A mysterious subplot involving a kidnapped young girl mirrors his own tragedy, suggesting a personal motive that reignites his relentless crusade.

But this is still The Punisher. Expect bone-crushing fights, explosive gunfire, and Castle donning his iconic skull armor as he tears through enemies with ruthless efficiency.

Arriving just one week after Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 finale, the special sets the stage for Frank’s next move – including his upcoming appearance in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
