Following a teaser back at Christmas, the full-length trailer has been released for the Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton-led survival thriller “Apex” at Netflix.
Theron plays Sasha, an American rock climber and adrenaline junkie who finds out that nature isn’t the only dangerous element out to get her when she sets out on her own in the treacherous Australian bush.
Egerton plays a ruthless local psychopath who has targeted the woman in a deadly game in which she has been marked as his prey. Eric Bana also stars as Theron’s partner.
After some questionable Australian accent work in the teaser, Egerton’s attempts here in the full trailer are better.
Baltasar Kormákur, best known for his work on films like “2 Guns,” “Everest,” “Contraband” and “The Deep,” directs while Jeremy Robbins wrote the script.
Theron, Dawn Olmstead, Beth Kono, AJ Dix, Ian Bryce, Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and David Ready produce the film, which was shot in New South Wales.
“Apex” is set to release on Netflix on April 24th.
