A covert CIA program becomes the target in the action thriller The Internship, arriving on digital platforms January 13, 2026.

Directed by James Bamford, known for his work on the series Arrow, the film centers on a secret initiative that transformed children into elite assassins.

Raised from childhood inside a classified program known only as The Internship, a highly trained operative reaches her breaking point. After years of manipulation and violence, she decides to dismantle the institution that stole her youth. Refusing to act alone, she reconnects with fellow “interns” who were molded into weapons just like her. Together, they launch a coordinated and bloody uprising against their former handlers.

The CIA responds with force, deploying its most lethal assets to contain the rebellion before the truth behind the program is exposed. What follows is a clash between former protégés and the agency that created them, blurring lines between justice and vengeance.

Lizzy Greene leads the cast, joined by Megan Boone, Sky Katz, Philip Winchester, Alix Villaret, Ollie Roddy, and Sullivan Stapleton. With Bamford’s background in stunt-driven television, the film leans into tactical combat and high-intensity confrontations.

The Internship positions itself as a revenge-driven spy thriller focused on reclaiming identity from a system built on secrecy and control.
