Netflix has premiered the first photos from its new supernatural mystery drama “The Boroughs” which will launch on May 21st.

“Stranger Things” creators the Duffer Brothers are executive producing the series which also has “The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance” creators Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews as showrunners and executive producers.

The series is set in a seemingly picturesque retirement community where a group of unlikely heroes must band together to stop an otherworldly threat from stealing the one thing they don’t have… time.

Acting veterans Alfred Molina, Alfre Woodard, Geena Davis, Bill Pullman, Denis O’Hare and Clarke Peters star in the eight-episode series.

Ben Taylor (“Sex Education,” “Catastrophe”) directs multiple episodes, including the pilot. He and Hilary Leavitt also executive produce.

Netflix also has the Duffers’ psychological horror series “Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen” on the way which again has them executive producing, while Haley Z. Boston created and is showrunning.
