It’s a slow news day out there in the world of movies. It seems like Lucasfilm dropping a trailer for a new Star Wars movie, and it not sucking, has kinda overtaken everything.
Never fear though, Outposters, for we will never run out of things to talk about around here. Not when we are surrounded by you, superior online movie beings, and we have the capacity to argue!
When all else fails, we can just have a debate!
This debate centres on scenes. Specifically a single scene. It doesn’t matter how strong or how weak a movie is in general, sometimes there is just a scene that completely f*cking kills ya!
It grabs you for all the wrong reasons. Either it is out of place. Or narratively useless. Or maybe just so poorly executed that it sticks in your mind and becomes emblematic of the movie.
Sometimes it just triggers you so irrationally that it makes your teeth it with rage.
Scenes like the unveiling of the human / xenomorph hybrid and their return to Earth in Alien: Resurrection.
Or those damn stairs in John Wick 4? How about the cringe inducing rave scene from The Matrix Reloaded?
Urgh! So there it is, dear Outposters. This is today’s debate:
What is the single worst scene in movie history?
