New video has emerged (via UnboxPHD) of actors Henry Cavill and Dave Bautista at work together on “John Wick” filmmaker Chad Stahelski’s “Highlander” reboot which is currently doing night shoots in London.

Shooting was to have commenced last year, but Cavill sustained an injury during pre-production rehearsals, which delayed things several months. He’s now filming scenes alongside Bautista who was spotted wearing a blood-stained priest’s uniform and wielding a sword for the nighttime action sequence.

Cavill is playing Connor MacLeod, a Medieval Scottish Highlander who discovers he is an immortal warrior. With the help of a swordsman named Ramirez (Russell Crowe), the Highlander battles other immortals across the centuries.

Bautista, Karen Gillan, Marisa Abela, Jeremy Irons, Djimon Hounsou, Max Zhang, Drew McIntyre, Siobhán Cullen, Jun Jong-seo, Nassim Lyes and Kevin McKidd co-star.

Michael Finch wrote the script, Dan Laustsen is the cinematographer on the film, while Tyler Bates will handle the score and reportedly incorporate some of the original Queen soundtrack within it.

Amazon MGM Studios is expected to release the new “Highlander” sometime in 2027.
