Filming has officially wrapped on Greta Gerwig’s “Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew,” the upcoming adaptation of the first chronological story in C.S. Lewis’ “The Chronicles of Narnia” book series.
Filming kicked off back in August, making this a lengthy six-month shoot which has spanned three studios – Shepperton, Longcross, and Cardington – as well as cities like London, Manchester and Bradford.
Now in post-production, the likes of Framestore and Weta are at work on the film while Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt are collaborating on the score.
The cast is expected to include Emma Mackey as The White Witch, Daniel Craig as Uncle Andrew, along with Carey Mulligan, Denise Gough, Beatrice Campbell, Tom Bonington, David McKenna, and Ava Jager. Meryl Streep was in talks for the voice of Aslan.
As previously indicated, set photos have suggested the Earth set scenes will be moved forward in time to the 1950s.
The original Narnia films have taken in nearly $1.6 billion worldwide with three feature films from 2005-2010. “Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew” will receive a two-week theatrical IMAX run on 1,000 screens on November 26th 2026 before it then arrives on Netflix’s streaming service in December.
