Lucasfilm’s Mandoverse shows like “The Mandalorian” and “Ahsoka” have a number of regular directors at this point.

One of the biggest go-to helmers outside of Jon Favreau is Rick Famuyiwa, who has helmed six episodes of “The Mandalorian” and the first season finale of “Ahsoka”.

Famuyiwa scored a lot of acclaim for his work on those episodes, and it turns out he was lining up another “Star Wars” TV project which, sadly, fell apart.

The Wrap reports that Famuyiwa has been quietly working on his own mystery “Star Wars” series for the Disney+ service, one that has sadly become stuck in ‘limbo’.

With Kathleen Kennedy‘s exit from Lucasfilm, various projects in development at the company now seemed to have stalled.

At last report, Favreau still reportedly wants to do a fourth season of “The Mandalorian” set after the film, Filoni’s Mandoverse team-up film is on the back burner for now, and there aren’t any plans for more “The Acolyte” or “Skeleton Crew”.

Outside of “Star Wars,” Lucasfilm has seemingly abandoned plans for both a young Abner Ravenwood series set in the “Indiana Jones”-verse, along with a series of animated shorts from Rodrigo Blaas set between the films.
