By Filming has wrapped on Shawn Levy’s new “Star Wars: Starfighter” film.
Levy himself has confirmed that principal photography has concluded on the feature, which now has a relatively luxurious seventeen months in which to complete post-production.
Ryan Gosling, Flynn Gray, Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Amy Adams, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, Daniel Ings, and Eva Mendes co-star in the film.
The film is dubbed an all-new standalone adventure and entirely original story set in a period of time never before explored in Star Wars – specifically several years after the events of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”.
Oscar-winning cinematographer Claudio Miranda (“Top Gun: Maverick,” “Oblivion”) lensed the movie.
The title will be released in cinemas on May 28th 2027, marking the 50th anniversary of the franchise.
