Whether you like it or not, Stranger Things has been a juggernaut of a TV series for Netflix. They always planned to only have 5 seasons, and here is the trailer with the end of the Upside Down. Warning: there is an overly edited, ballad version of Who Wants to Live Forever by Queen in the trailer.

It does look like they are going over the top with the ending, with a full-blown war between Vecna vs the Groovy Gang. I mean, the army is there, but we all know Eleven and a few kids can handle everything.

There’s no point in listing the cast; you know who everyone is. All the kids from the first one are now in their late 20s, playing teenagers.

The creators of Stranger Things, Matt and Ross Duffer, have said they have designed the fifth season to tie up all the stories from the previous seasons. They have also said they will answer burning questions, like: What is the Upside Down? And why was Will originally taken in the first season?

Matt Duffer said:

“We do every last remaining thing we wanted to do with the Demogorgons and Mind Flayer and Vecna and the Upside Down and Hawkins and these characters. This is a complete story. It’s done.”

We learnt that the Duffer Brothers are going to be moving to Paramount in the near future, but you can bet your bottom dollar, someone at Netflix is cooking something up to carry Stranger Things on.

Volumes 1 – 3

Stranger Things 5 is 8 episodes, split into different volumes. Pay attention, as this gets complicated. Episodes 1 – 4, which is Volume 1, will be on Netflix on the 26th Nov. Episodes 5 -7, Volume 2, will be released on 25th Dec. With the last episode, Volume 3, released on New Year’s Eve, as a 2-hour finale.

Episode 8, Volume 3, will also have a 350 cinema release on New Year’s Eve, playing the final episode throughout the night.

Are you excited to see the final conclusion of Stranger Things?
