Feel old yet? The speccy boy wizard, Harry Potter, had the first movie adaption released nearly 25 years old.

To remind you even more about why your knees now hurt and you get up twice a night to pee, Warner Bros. Discovery has announced some big plans to re-release Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone / Sorcerers Stone to celebrate.

There will be a year-long celebration including a global theatrical re-release of the original film, special edition products and retail promotions. Dig deep, Potter fans.

A statement from Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products group says in a statement:

“This anniversary not only celebrates the legacy of the original film but also introduces the magic to a new generation.”

Their logo seems familiar.

After resisting Spielberg’s desire to relocate the action to the USA, and studio heads who thought animated was the way to go, the first film arrived on November 16th 2001.

The series would go on to become one of the most successful in cinema history, leading to stage plays, theme parks and video games.

Once this is out of the way, then Warner Bros. Will be clearing the decks for the new TV series adaption, and then we will go again.
