Paramount+ has renewed Guy Ritchie and Ronan Bennett’s high-profile crime drama “MobLand” for a second season.
The order comes through just over three weeks after the ten-episode first season wrapped its run. The show launched March 30th with at least six episodes making the Nielsen Top 10 Original Series chart for their respective weeks.
Additionally, Paramount says the first episode has drawn 26 million viewers since its debut – with viewers defined by total global watch time divided by total run time in its first 70 days of availability.
That makes it the second biggest original series of all time on the Paramount+ streamer, behind only Taylor Sheridan’s “Landman”.
The series follows a London crime family the Harrigans and their loyal fixer, Harry Da Souza (Tom Hardy), as they battle the authorities and other criminals in their attempts to hang on to power.
Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt and Lara Pulver co-star in the series.
