The Punisher
The upcoming Disney+ Special Presentation one-off based on Frank Castle/The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) is reportedly currently casting a “female crime boss villain”.

Speculation has arisen suggesting that character for the special will be ruthless crime family matriarch Ma Gnucci who was introduced in Garth Ennis’ “Marvel Knights” run. Bernthal will co-write the script with filmmaker Reinaldo Marcus Green’ directing. It is expected to air in 2026. [Source: DanielRPK]

Mr. Scorsese
Director Rebecca Miller, daughter of playwright Arthur Miller and wife of Daniel Day-Lewis, is teaming with Apple TV+ for the five-part mini-series “Mr. Scorsese”.

The series is expected to offer an in-depth examination of Scorsese’s work as a filmmaker from his student films at NYU, to helming some of the most lauded theatrical release movies of the late 20th and early 21st century. [Source: The Playlist]

Scrubs
Zach Braff is reportedly on board to reprise the role of J.D. in a reboot of medical comedy “Scrubs” in development at ABC. Original series creator Bill Lawrence is serving as executive producer but not showrunner this time out. Braff is the only cast member currently confirmed to be attached to the reboot. Avatar: The Last Airbender
Netflix has added seven cast members to its live-action version of “Avatar: The Last Airbender”. The second season sees Dichen Lachman as Yangchen, Dolly de Leon as Lo and Li, Terry Chen as Jeong Jeong, Lily Gao as Ursa and Madison Hu as Fei.

They’re joined in the third season by Tantoo Cardinal as Hama and Jon Jon Briones as Piandao. Production on the second season is wrapping with the third and final season about to film shortly. [Source: Variety]
